In 2013, the Flying Doctors presented a cash award to a high performing medical student in an essay competition as part of our CSR program.

Reason behind our CSR project

The Flying Doctors Nigeria is dedicated to providing access to healthcare across West and Central Africa; through high quality air ambulance transfer.

Some of the countries we are active in include:

Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo

The focus of the essay competition was to look at how medical students perceive access to care in our regional, what the barriers are and what novel solutions we can implement to improve access.

Medical students from Lagos State were eligible for the essay competition. We received almost 100 hundred high quality essays from smart motivated medical students. In the end a winner emerged.
