Scenario

A manager at the bank was shot during an armed robbery in Northern Nigeria, suffering severe vascular complications at his hip and lower leg.

Fortunately, the bank has a retainer agreement with Flying Doctors Nigeria. We were immediately called and the patient was flown to India.

Flying Doctors was able to organise the air ambulance flight, visas and receiving hospital in India in just a few hours.

A delayed response time may have resulted in the patient having to undergo an amputation.

After 4 months in hospital, he was able to return to Nigeria with family members that the Flying Doctors team has flown out and accommodated to keep company during this difficult period.

Due to the quick response we were able to give, the patient suffered no long term disability
